Adult Classes
- Oil Painting Workshop (Ages: 15-Adult)
-
Instructor: Jessica Henry Davis
Jessica Henry Davis will be offering a one time only painting workshop, with the focus being in oils, but any medium is welcome. The workshop will focus on the approach that I use to begin and work through the beginning/medium stages of painting, with discussion on finishing. Students will be painting from a simple still life. Discussions will focus on color theory, value and drawing accuracy, paint quality, etc. Jessica will do demonstrations on the set up still life throughout the day while students work along with. The main idea is to learn how to start and work through a simple painting, with the emphasis on branching out to paint what ever you want using the time honored traditional methods discussed in class.
